Pretty and Polished Sand Art!!

As if Jawbreaker wasn't the best polish ever, Sand Art is giving it a run for its money!! This polish is full of matte glitter in yellow, blue, pink, and purple and is so pretty! I layered two coats of it over China Glaze Aquadelic, a bright turquoise. This polish looks exactly like sand art! I have a comparison picture comparing the bottle to my bottle of sand art I made at the beach one time! You can find this polish in Pretty and Polished's Etsy shop (hopefully she will restock soon!) and now llarowe is going to start selling her polishes as well in a few weeks! Yay!

CANDY LACQUER!

One of my new favorite Etsy shops is called Candy Lacquer. Sandra, the owner, makes the PRETTIEST glitter polishes ever! I've bought six polishes from her and I love every single one!! Besides super pretty glitters, the bottles have really cute heart labels!! I'm a sucker for cute packaging!
  • Beach Party is a clear base with orange bars, hexagons, and squares along with turquoise, chartruese, and pink hexagons, squares, and micro glitters.
  • Candies and Sprinkles is a clear base with pink, purple, magenta, blue, turqouise, and chartruese squares, hexagons, and micro glitters.
  • Sea Nymph is light green glitter with turquoise/holographic glitters.
  • Gumballs is all different colors of hexagons in a clear base, black, white, blue, orange, pink, red, blue, and green glitters
  • Aqua Hearts is shreds of aqua glitter with coral hearts in a clear base
  • Candy Store is a clear base with almost every color of glitter you can think of in all different shapes and sizes.
I love all of these so much but Candy Store is my all time favorite! I plan on layering these and of course doing jelly sandwiches with them! They are so stunning in person! I'll be doing a jelly sandwich soon with Candy Store and OPI's Don't Touch My Tutu! You can find Candy Lacquer on facebook and her etsy store is here. She is on vacation right now but will reopen on Monday! Here are bottle shots and swatches!!

21st BIRTHDAY!!

This week has been sooooo busy since I just turned 21! Big celebration and parties! I wanted to share my birthday manicure that I did. I wanted to do something that says "party" so I decided to do a jelly sandwich using Bad Kitty from Elixir Lacquers and Lynnderella One Nutty Fruitcake. A jelly sandwich is when you paint your nails with a coat of a sheer jelly polish, paint a glitter polish on top, and then another layer of the jelly polish on top of that. Doing this tones down the glitter a bit and just looks really cool. Bad Kitty is a limited edition polish from Elixir Lacquers. It was so limited edition that each bottle was numbered, I had #164. This polish is so gorgeous. It's a sheer purple with a lot of teal shimmer in it. Luckily, Nicole from Elixir Lacquers was able to make Bad Kitty a permanent polish recently and it is now called Miss Kitty's Mee-yow. Just got a bottle of it because I love Bad Kitty so much and the formula is new and more opaque in this new one! You can buy a bottle of this awesome polish here. I layered One Nutty Fruitcake from Lynnderella between this polish. So glad I was able to get my last few Lynns because Lynn, the creator, had a freakout and was extremely rude so I will not be buying her polishes anymore and they are not even being offered from llarowe anymore. So here is my birthday mani!

Another coat of Bad Kitty to top One Nutty Fruitcake with one coat of Gelous and Butter London's topcoat.
Final product!!

I absolutely love this combination and these polishes! I love Elixir Lacquers so I ordered two more of her colors along with the new bottle of Bad Kitty re-vamped. Check out her website and her super pretty polishes!! She also has a facebook!

And to top of my birthday, my sweet family made me three handmade margarita glasses decorated with my nail polish! They turned out so cool!

My dad made this one using all of my polishes from my "favorites" drawer in my helmer! He also wrote my blog name around the bottom!

My mom decorated this one!

My brother decorated this one. The bottle of nail polish painted on the side was painted with Pretty and Polished Jawbreaker which is his favorite polish I own. Lol!

This was one of my best birthdays EVER!:)

Here is me with some of my sweet friends from work at my birthday party!

Lynnderella Collection!!

So trying to get a Lynnderella polish is like trying to get one of those $200 flat screen TV's that everyone fights over on Black Friday the day after Thanksgiving. Nearly impossible. You can either give in to those not so awesome sellers on eBay who jack up the prices to ridiculous amounts, anywhere from $40 to over $100, or you can be patient and wait, and wait, and wait for your wishlist to be filled from Llarowe, an online store that sells Lynnderellas. Why is it so hard to get these pretties? From what I have been told, Lynn (aka Lynnderella) started making these and the demand for them became crazy and she could not sell them on her own anymore so she sells them over time through llarowe. If you decide to be patient, you must send in a wishlist to Leah Ann from Llarowe's website when she releases the wishlists and wait a little while for her to go through the rotation of the alphabet of last names to invoice you and ship you your Lynn's. When you do this, they are only $15 each. I have a very special friend who was able to grab mine for me, luckily and amazingly I have FOUR! They are the four I've wanted most since I first heard about this magical Lynnderella line. So I'm going to share them with you! They live in my faves drawer and I only use them on special occasions so that I don't waste them! PRETTY PICTURE TIME!!

My two newest ones!! Matter of the Heart is a light pink jelly-ish base with red squares, purple diamonds, and holographic hexagons and hearts! Definitely going to layer this one over a pink such as Pink Friday from OPI or A Crewed Interest from Essie. One Nutty Fruitcake is a CRAP-TON of all different colored glitter!! I'm going to jelly sandwich this one!!( When you put the glitter between layers of a jelly polish:))

I had a mini freak out when I unwrapped these pretties at work! Lol.

My pretties! Connect the Dots was a gift from my sweet Momma for graduating from Junior College and the rest were wish-listed for me by a sweet/awesome friend!

There are no words.   :)

Leah Ann at Llarowe will be accepting wish-lists again soon and showing swatches of new colors! You can sign up on the website link above to recieve an email when it is time to put in wishlists! Also visit her facebook page here for updates!! YAY FOR LYNNDERELLAS!! and for Llarowe selling them and putting up with sometimes impatient people!

Leopard Print mani!!

Yesterday I painted my nails with one of China Glaze's new neons, the one that I was MOST excited about getting, Surfin' For Boys, a HOT coral! It's so bright that my camera kinda freaked out and couldn't pick up all of the neon-ness! Lol. This color also has a little bit of shimmer in it! I bought a Konad stamper and decided to try it on my nails since I've tried it on other peoples nails so far. The Konad stamper set is awesome because you can buy so many different plates with so many designs and stamp them directly onto your nails without having to hand-design all of your nail art! the first plate I've gotten is m57. I plan on ordering at least 4 more that I've seen and really like! So I painted my nails with China Glaze Surfin' For Boys and then stamped leopard print onto my nails using Sinful Colors' Snow Me White.

Bottle shot! So pretty!

I did white leopard print on my accent nails and white pinky nails with a Surfin' For Boys leopard print!

Nothing's better than a great manicure and pretty engagement ring:)
Konad Plate and stamper set.

To stamp your nails, you take a polish color of your choice and paint it over the design you want. Take the scraper or an old card and scrape the extra polish off of the design and quickly roll the stamper across the design. Then roll the stamper across your nail and there's a design!!
Yay for summer colors!! I learned all my stamping stuff from the awesome Lacey at Lace and Lacquers!! She has a Youtube tutorial on it and you can read her blog here!

Pretty and Polished lovelies!!

I was miraculously able to snag two polishes from Pretty and Polished's Etsy shop when she restocked week before last! She restocked at 6 pm and was sold out of the two I was able to get by 6:07! So glad I refreshed and refreshed the page until she opened shop! The two I got are Jawbreaker (her most popular I think) and Party on my Yacht! Jawbreaker is a bunch of all different shapes and colors of glitters suspended in a white base. It really does look like the Jawbreaker candy!! As soon as I got Jawbreaker I HAD to get it on my nails!! And the wear on it is great! Hardly any in a few days!! AWESOME!! Party on my Yacht is all different colors of little glitters such as green, purple, and gold and looks like those yummy frosted animal crackers!! I'm gonna need to get some of those to pose my polish with when I paint my nails with it! Basically, I really really REALLY love these polishes and they were DEFINITELY added to my Faves drawer in my Helmer. I need backups already I can tell because I will be using them so much! I've already gotten tons of compliments from wearing Jawbreaker! You can find Pretty and Polished on Facebook to look for updates on when she will open her shop again and see swatches of all her pretty polishes here. And her Etsy shop here. Go check it out!! Now for some pretty pictures!!

here is Jawbreaker in indoor light! (please excuse my cuticles, I'm working on them!!)

Birthday Polishes!!

My birthday is coming soon! It's in 9 days and I'll be 21:) For my birthday, my friend Melissa who let me do her nails took me to Cosmo Prof and let me pick out some polishes I wanted for my birthday!! I was able to get the last 2 China Glaze neons I wanted from the new Summer neon collection, Love's a Beach and Beach Cruise-r, as well as another color I've seen that looked really pretty called Towel Boy Toy. She also got me a super bright yellow from OPI called Need Sunglasses?, and 2 Sinful Colors, Mint Apple and Savage (these last 2 she snuck into her basket at Walgreens and surprised me with them...SNEAKY!!) Thank you Melissa!!

Left to Right: Love's A Beach, Beach Cruise-r, Towel Boy Toy, Need Sunglasses?, Mint Apple, Savage

Love's A Beach is an awesome neon Barbie pink with some shimmer and Beach Cruise-r is a super pretty orchid purple with some shimmer. Towel Boy Toy is a turquoise/bright blue with hints of icy blue shimmer. Need Sunglasses? is a super bright yellow, kind of like a rubber duck! lol And Sinful Colors Mint Apple is a minty/turquoise with silver shimmer and Savage is a bright blue ocean blue!

Yay for birthdays and great friends!!

China Glaze neon/Lynnderella mani!!

I was super excited to get some of the China Glaze neons, especially Ride the Waves which is an awesome cobalt blue jelly!! For this manicure, I painted my nails with this color and then on my ring and thumb fingers, I added Lynnderella's Boy-Girl Party to half of my nail diagonally! This is definitely one of my favorite China Glazes and my favorite Lynnderella! This combo is great together too! The blue of Ride the Waves makes the glitters in Boy-Girl Party stand out even more! Love!!

Melissa's Manicure!!

One of my super good friends, Melissa, came over tonight and let me paint her nails! She is the first person who's nails I've painted beside my mom's and future sister-in-law's! She chose to have an accent nail in black with Sinful Colors' Black on Black and the rest of her nails painted with one of the new China Glaze neons, Love's a Beach. I used my brand new Konad stamping plate and stamped her accent nail with white leopard print using Sinful Colors' Snow Me White, and stamped the rest of her nails in zebra print with Sinful Colors' Black on Black. They turned out so pretty! Thanks again Melissa for letting me paint your nails!!

Butter London Macbeth!!

So one of my polishes from my last haul was Butter London's Macbeth! My mom went and had her nails done this week and got this color painted on them and she is IN LOVE with it! It is so pretty!! Plus she is a good hand model!! Butter London's polishes retail for $14 but are worth every penny! I have never had a disappointing Butter polish! Just in case you're curious, the other Butter Londons I own are: Slapper, Trout Pout, Disco Biscuit, Come to Bed Red, All Hail the Queen, and The Black Knight! Not to mention, their Nail Foundation Basecoat and Quick Dry Topcoat are equally amazing!! I'm going to try their cuticle care kit soon as well! Enjoy!

Weekend Haul!!

Hey y'all!! I just wanted to share with you my haul that I got this weekend and I got good deals on everything! I will post pictures of these polishes as soon as I use them!!
First is a Nicole by OPI polish that I got from Target that is an exclusive shade for Target! It's called "Great Minds Pink Alike" and is a really pretty sparkly coral/pink shade that is like a jelly polish! I have on three coats and a top coat in this photo:) This picture does not really do it justice! This is one of my favorite polishes ever now, I think!!

Next is two of the new Minnie Mouse colors from OPI and another Nicole by OPI shade that was exclusive to the Justin Bieber line in Canada. You cannot find this Bieber shade in America so I got on ebay and found it for super cheap surprisingly since it costs like $30 usually because it's limited edition but I only paid $7! I don't think the people selling it realized they could get that much for it, lol. My gain!! Anyway, the two OPI's from left to right are "I'm All Ears" and "The Color of Minnie". "I'm All Ears is a super pretty and bright fuchsia shade with purple/orange/iridescent glitters. "The Color of Minnie" is a classic red with a hint of shimmer in it. The Justin Bieber color is called "Fuchsia Wife" and is a SUPER DUPER pretty pink/fuchsia color that is like a jelly with orange and purple flakies! LOVE!! You better believe I'll be wearing this color come January 16 when I see him in concert!! I'm so excited!! LOWER LEVEL SEATS!!

These are the polishes I'm most excited about!! These are from the new China Glaze Summer Neons collection and I LOVE LOVE LOVE neons! We haven't gotten these at Ulta yet so I found them at Sally's! And Sallys was having a deal that when you buy two China Glazes you get a free Seche Vite treatment so I got two treatments that help moisturize and restore weak nails. My nails have been weaker lately because I paint my nails so much so hopefully these strengthen them! The first picture was taken outside in direct sunlight and the second was taken indoors. The colors from left to right are: "Ride the Waves", "Surfin'for Boys", "Pink Plumeria", and "Flirty Tankini". I don't have a favorite yet because they are all so freaking pretty. "Ride the Waves" is a GORGEOUS deep cobalt blue that is a JELLY! It reminds me of an RBL polish I really wanted called IKB: 2012, but I was NOT paying $20 for it. The next one "Surfin' for Boys" is the one I wanted the most! It's a neon CORAL! I loveeeeeeeeee neons and corals so BAM! love this one. "Pink Plumeria" is a lighter pink neon with golden shimmer. It's kinda meh in the bottle but on the nail...WOW! AMAZING!! "Flirty Tankini" was another one I was really wanting because it's a NEON CORAL PEACH! Yes! It looks breathtaking on!! Okay enough about neons, but I'm sooooooo excited to try these!!

Last but not least I got an AWESOME deal at Ulta! We were selling the Backstage Basics kit from Butter London for $39 which included Butter London's basecoat (AMAZING, btw!!), topcoat, nail file, polish remover, and a polish of your choice. Well the kit went on sale last week for $25 and we sold out:( But I fund the LAST ONE at our Birmingham store! With my discount I got all that stuff for only $20!! Holy crap!! I chose "Macbeth" as my lacquer color which is a beautiful red/coral/orange!! You might be able to see if your local Ultas have any left! It's a $55 value!!

That's my haul!! So excited! Check back for swatches! Have a great weekend!!
